I hear the commands of my generals,
The hum of the B-52 bomber engines.
I can see the clouds make mountains below us:
The beauty of God's planet,
And the destruction we are to bring.
It's for a good cause!
I have to keep telling myself that.
We approach the island;
I felt nervous yet excited at the same time,
Will we be heros?
Forever haunted by our actions?
Just above the island, now,
My co-captain gives me the affirmative.
My hand, guided by the devil,
Hovers over the trigger.
I pull it,
The bomb drops,
Guilt fills my body,
Death pours out below us.
Goodbye Hiroshima.
